The Emory Integrated Proteomics Core provides protein analytical services by cutting edge mass spectrometry. Our priority is to serve the needs of investigators at Emory University, but we are also capable of service to outside users.
The main technology platform is nanocapillary liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry for highly sensitive protein identification, posttranslational site mapping, and protein quantification. Our current turnaround time is two weeks or less. Numerous computational tools have also been developed for high throughput data processing.
The Emory Integrated Proteomics Core is jointly managed by Winship Cancer Institute and Emory University School of Medicine. It is subsidized by the Emory University School of Medicine and is one of the Emory Integrated Core Facilities.

Dr. Seyfried's research is focused on the use of quantitative proteomics to identify and characterize disease-specific proteins and their post-translational modifications (PTMs) in neurodegeneration.
