Biography
John Blazeck, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech School of Engineering.
Dr. Blazeck is a member of the Cancer Immunology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Blazeck performed his PhD and postdoctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
Research
Dr. Blazeck is focusing on two types of research: engineering cellular therapies and developing therapeutic proteins. He is working to engineer cellular systems with controllable, enhanced, and nonnative functions, as well as developing metabolic proteins as therapeutics to modulate the tumor environment to disfavor cancer cell growth. Additionally, he is developing high throughout technologies to interrogate immune function.
