Biography

Seth J. Concors is assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Emory Universiy School of Medicine. A board certified surgeon, Dr. Concors' primary clinical focus is gastrointestinal surgical oncology, particularly hepatobiliary and peritoneal surface malignancies.

Dr. Concors is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He holds professional memberships with the Society of Surgical Oncology, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society and the American College of Surgeons.

Education

Dr. Concors received his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York City, New York. His postgraduate medical training includes a General Surgery Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Research

Dr. Concors is dedicated to improving clinical outcomes in neuroendocrine tumors and peritoneal surface malignancies. Dr. Concors’ research interests include clinical trials, health services, and quality improvement.

Dr. Concors has been published in leading journals including Annals of Surgical Oncology, American Journal of Surgery and Transplantation.
