Biography

Wissam S. Jaber, MD, is associate professor in the Deparment of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified pulmonologist, Dr. Jaber collaborates with the lung oncology physician team at Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown to care for patients with lung cancer. He practices at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Grady Memorial Hospital, where he specializes in interventional pulmonology, pulmonary medicine and critical care.

Prior to joining Emory in 2019, Dr. Jaber served as interventional pulmonary director at University of Alabama at Birmingham and was also in private practice beforehand for several years.

Dr. Jaber is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Education

Dr. Jaber received his medical degree from American Univeristy of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory University. His fellowship training in pulmonary, critical care medicine, and interventional pulmonary were completed at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
