Biography
Jean Mathew Kunjummen, DO, is associate professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kunjummen is the director of the Breast Imaging Center at Emory University Hospital Midtown. A board certified diagnostic radiologist, she specializes breast imaging diagnosis and intervention including magnetic resonance (MR) biopsies.
Prior to joining the breast imaging team at Emory, Dr. Kunjummen was an assistant professor at the University of Texas Houston Medical School/Memorial Hermann Breast Center. She also gained work experience as a faculty member at the Ochsner Clinic Health System in New Orleans.
Dr. Kunjummen is a member of the Emory University Hospital Midtown Cancer Committee. She holds professional memberships with Radiological Society of North America, Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Radiology, and American Roentgen Ray Society.
Education
Dr. Kunjummen obtained her DO from University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an internship at Crozer-Keystone Health System in Chester, Pennsylvania. She then proceeded to complete a residency in diagnostic radiology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, and also a fellowship in breast imaging at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
