Biography
Michelle Reid, MD, MSc, is Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Reid serves as Director of Cytopathology at Emory University Hospital.
Dr. Reid is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship.
Education
Dr. Reid earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies, where she also completed a residency in anatomic pathology. Dr. Reid completed an internship at Kingston Public Hospital. She then completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she was also named chief resident, and a cytopathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Reid also holds a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Science from the Medical College of Georgia.
Research
Dr. Reid's research interests include the use of molecular markers and fluorescence in situ hybridization in the cytohistologic diagnosis of pancreatobiliary neoplasms.
