Biography
Frank Schneider, MD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School, joining the faculty in 2017. Dr. Schneider is an anatomic pathologist with special expertise in cardiopulmonary pathology. He serves as scientific director of the Cancer Tissue and Pathology Shared Resource at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Dr. Schneider is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. He holds professional memberships with College of American Pathologists, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and Pulmonary Pathology Society.
Education
Dr. Schneider received his MD from Technische Universitat Muenchen in Munich, Germany. He completed a residency in Pathology and a fellowship in Cytopathology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He served his fellowship in Pulmonary Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Research
Dr. Schneider's research interests focus on fibrosing lung disease including its diagnostic patterns used for patient care, genomic changes and proteomics approaches. He is also interested in using protein expression for diagnosis, classification and prognostication of lung cancer.
