Biography
Daniel Sussman, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics of Emory College of Arts & Sciences.
Dr. Sussman is a member of the Cell and Molecular Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Sussman earned his PhD from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.
Research
Dr. Sussman's laboratory uses theoretical and computational techniques to study a wide variety of soft condensed matter systems both in and out of equilibrium. They are particularly interested in simple models of disordered solids, and try to understand how rigidity, elasticity, and interesting dynamical phenomena arise from simple agent-based interactions.
