Biography

Janghee Woo, MD, PhD, is assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Woo specializes in the treatment of hematologic malignancies with stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.

Dr. Woo is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Education

Dr. Woo received his Medical Degree from Seoul National University in South Korea. He earned his PhD in Genetics from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After completing PhD training, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center/University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.

Research

Dr. Woo's research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of hematologic disorders with a particular interest in the biological and molecular consequences of clonal hematopoiesis and developing new therapeutic modalities in hematological malignancy.
