Giving Thanks

"You have all responded to the new needs raised in the pandemic by redoubling your commitment to offering, and advancing, the compassionate, patient-focused services that we refer to as "the Winship way."

Dear Winship Colleagues,

As we mark another Thanksgiving, I would like to express my gratitude for each of you in the Winship community. This year, like last year, has been particularly challenging as we have had to continue navigating the requirements of safety in the pandemic while still providing excellent care to our patients who depend on us, and conducting the research that will let us provide even better outcomes for them and for our future patients as well.

As challenging as it has been, I have continued to be impressed by the dedication of our clinical staff, our physicians and nurses, and the corps of highly skilled women and men who support their efforts to offer Winship patients the best possible care and support. Our research scientists have continued to demonstrate why Winship owns its place among the world’s leading centers of biomedical discovery and innovation that matter for so many far beyond Emory’s beautiful campus.

You have all responded to the new needs raised in the pandemic by redoubling your commitment to offering, and advancing, the compassionate, patient-focused services that we refer to as "the Winship way." I am deeply honored to work among you.

Please accept my best wishes to you, your family and other loved ones, for a happy and healthy Thanksgiving, and a joyful holiday season over the coming weeks.

Sincerely,

Ram
