Sarah Villani, RN, BSN, OCN, a nurse preceptor in the Emory University Hospital (EUH) Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit on 8E, is this year’s recipient of the Sabrina Williams Oncology Nursing Education Award. The award was established to assist undergraduate and graduate health science majors in earning their higher education degrees. Villani is currently working toward her FNP (family nurse practitioner) degree at Mercer University.
Villani is also one of four winners of the Katie Ferraris Taylor Oncology Nursing Fund Award, which provides financial support for professional development. Other recipients include: Stacie Hughes, BSN, RN,OCN, unit nurse educator, Nicol Morsby, RN BSN OCN, nurse clinician in the EUH BMT Unit 8E, and Deatra Perkins, RN, BSN, OCN, medical oncology, nurse manager.
