Thanks to generous gifts from the Champions Golf Association of Dunwoody Country Club and the Club’s annual John H. Kauffman Fundraiser, Winship is pleased to award seven prostate cancer research grants through the Winship Invest$ peer-reviewed pilot funding program.
The Winship prostate cancer pilot grants are designed to enhance the development of robust prostate cancer research at Winship and fund innovative proposals that address basic or translational research, investigator initiated clinical trials, health disparities, imaging, and survivorship or quality of life.
Net proceeds from the 2016 John H. Kauffman Fundraiser totaled $225,000. This was matched dollar for dollar by Winship’s own fundraising efforts, bringing last year's grand total to $450,000.
