Gynecologic oncologist Namita Khanna, MD is the physician champion for the OCRFA Woman to Woman program to be established at Winship.

Winship Cancer Institute has received a $60,000 Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) grant to establish a Woman to Woman program for patients. The program pairs gynecologic cancer patients with trained and supervised survivor volunteers to provide one-on-one mentoring and support.

Winship oncologist Namita Khanna, MD, says "the Woman to Woman program will help benefit our gynecologic oncology patients and their families by providing additional support and making sure their needs are being met medically and emotionally."

Established 15 years ago in New York, the Woman to Woman program is available in nearly 40 hospitals and community-based organizations around the United States.
