Two years after Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University (Winship) opened the Emory at Buford Ambulatory Infusion Center, the facility has provided high-quality infusion services for over 1,100 patients. Located in the Northeast Metro Atlanta area, the infusion center gives the region and neighboring communities access to a crucial service.
Emory at Buford is one of three locations that participate in the Winship community oncology program. In addition to infusion, Emory at Buford offers general primary care, radiology, and a hematology and medical oncology clinic staffed by physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, social workers, and other specialists.
Patients at Buford benefit from the expertise of Winship community oncologists Noreen Khan, MD and Ajay Tadepalli, MD, and state-of-the-art resources offered by Georgia's only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.
"We are happy to provide services that make our patient’s lives better," says Nicole Bansavage, unit director of the clinic and infusion centers at Emory at Buford and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. "Our patients often tell us that our proximity to this region and the breadth of services we offer helps make their cancer journey easier."
