Winship Faculty Present at Virtual NRG Oncology Semi-Annual Meeting

Winship Executive Director and NRG Oncology Group Chairman Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD, invites colleagues to participate in the 2020 NRG Oncology Virtual Semi-Annual Meeting. (Registration is closed. Updated: July 17)

Faculty from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University (Winship) will lead major sessions in a virtual format during the Semi-Annual Meeting of NRG Oncology on July 16-18. NRG Oncology is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-funded cooperative group dedicated to advancing patient treatment and care through clinical trials and research.

Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD, Winship executive director and NRG Oncology Group Chairman, will kick off the Friday July 17th session by introducing NCI Director Norman "Ned" Sharpless, MD, who will deliver the Keynote Address. Curran will also lead the NRG General Session later that day at 4:30pm by providing an overview of the group's activities.

Deborah Bruner, RN, PhD, will chair the NRG Oncology NCORP Town Hall during Session 1 and Jeffrey Bradley, MD, will chair the NRG Oncology Lung Cancer Committee during Session 3 on Friday. Other Winship presenters at the meeting include Nabil Saba, MD, Ashesh Jani, MD, and Kristin Higgins, MD, who will report on the small cell lung cancer clinical trial she leads, NRG LU005.
