The 2022 Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancers Symposium held Feb 24-26 in Phoenix featured oral and poster presentations from several Winship experts.

The 2022 Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancers Symposium held Feb. 24-26 in Phoenix featured oral and poster presentations from several Winship experts.

Neal S. McCall, MD, a PGY4 resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology, co-authored a study he presented during a plenary session titled, "Standard but Not Equal: Disparities in Advanced Radiotherapy Techniques for Head and Neck Cancer in the United States."

Winship member and Professor in the Emory Department of Otolaryngology Charles E. Moore, MD, will presented a keynote on "Disparities in Head and Neck Cancer."

Nabil F. Saba, MD, FACP, Professor and Vice Chair for Quality and Safety in the Emory Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology and Lynne and Howard Halpern Chair in Head and Neck Cancer Research at Winship, presented during a panel discussion on Feb. 25 on the "Mutational Landscape of Thyroid Cancers."

Several Winship experts, including radiation oncology residents, will gave poster presentations during the symposium, including Mark W. McDonald, MD, Dong Shin, MD, FACP, FAACS, James E. Bates, MD, James Janopaul-Naylor, MD, Ashley Schlafstein, MD, Joshua Lorenz, MD, Nabil Saba, MD, Conor E. Steuer, MD, and oncology clinical pharmacy specialist Marin Abousaud, PharmD, BCOP.

This national symposium was planned by the American Head & Neck Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.
