Biography

Byron Au-Yeung, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology of the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Au-Yeung serves on the faculty of the Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis (IMP) program in the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences of Emory's Laney Graduate School.

Education

Dr. Au-Yeung earned his PhD in immunology from University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He completed his postdoctoral training in immunology at University of California, San Francisco in San Francisco, California.

Research

Dr. Au-Yeung's laboratory investigates how T cells adapt to the strength of basal T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling and the subsequent effects of these adaptations on T cell activation.

Dr. Au-Yeung has been published in a number of leading scientific journals.
