William F. Auffermann, PhD, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Auffermann is a member of Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship.
Dr. Auffermann received his MD and PhD in a combined program from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed his residency in radiology from the University of Minnesota. He then went on to complete a fellowship in cardiothoracic radiology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Auffermann is a cardiothoracic radiologist with research interests in imaging of thoracic oncology, pulmonary nodule detection using computer algorithms, and medical image perception.
