Biography

Dr. Berkowitz began practicing at Emory in 2009 and is affiliated with the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Emory University Hospital Midtown.  He is board certified in internal medicine (2005), pulmonary disease (2007), and critical care (2008).  His clinical interests are in diagnosing and staging of lung cancer, airway and endoscopic management of lung cancer and complications of treatment, bronchoscopy, critical care medicine, interventional pulmonology, bronchial thermoplasty, and lung disease.

Education

Dr. Berkowitz obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio in 2002.  He completed his residency at Harvard Medical School and completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and dedicated interventional pulmonary fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
