Biography

Laura Brachman, MD, is assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Brachman serves as assistant medical director of outpatient palliative and supportive care. Board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, she provides patients with cancer with relief from their symptoms and helps improve their quality of life throughout their journey.

Dr. Brachman holds professional memberships with American College of Physicians, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Academy of Communication in Healthcare.

Education

Dr. Brachman received her Medical Degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her postgraduate training at University of Rochester in Rochester, New York in the Primary Care Program in Internal Medicine and with a fellowship in Advanced Biopsychosocial Medicine. She completed her Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
