Biography

Elizabeth Keller Butker has been an Atlanta resident since 1972. She joined the Department of Radiation Oncology in 1988 as a clinical medical physicist.

Elizabeth is skilled at total body irradiation and brachytherapy, including eye plaques, prostate seed implants and high-dose rate procedures. Elizabeth is actively involved in clinical physics procedures and quality assurance procedures within the department. She assists in the teaching of radiation oncology residents at Emory and medical physics students at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Elizabeth and her husband, Harrison, have two beautiful children that constantly remind them to stay fit and be healthy. Spinning, running and attending their children’s sporting events occupy most of their non-working time.

Education

Elizabeth is American Board of Radiology certified in radiological physics. She earned her MS in health physics from Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated magna cum laude from Smith College with a BA in chemistry.
