Biography
Lorraine Cafuir, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified hematologist, Dr. Cafuir specializes in treating patients with bleeding and clotting disorders.
In 2019, Dr. Cafuir was named the inaugural Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Fellow.
Dr. Cafuir is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and Hemostasis & Thrombosis Research Society.
Education
Dr. Cafuir earned her Medical Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. She also holds a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed her residency and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
