Biography
Peter Campbell, PhD, MSc, is the Strategic Director, Digestive System Cancer Research at the American Cancer Society. Dr. Campbell is also an adjunct associate professor with the Department of Epidemiology at Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University. He is a cancer epidemiologist and a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Winship.
Education
Dr. Campbell received his MSc from York University and his PhD from the University of Toronto. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Research
Dr. Campbell's research is focused on identifying risk and prognostic factors for cancers that occur in the digestive system, particularly the colon, rectum, liver and gallbladder. His work integrates various aspects of pathology, genetics and molecular biology into epidemiologic studies.
