Biography

Stephanie M. Cantu, MD, is assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology of the Department of Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Cantu is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and has additional board certifications in Echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT, Cardiac MRI and Nuclear Cardiology. She has a clinical focus in Cardio-Oncology in addition to a practice in General Cardiology. Dr. Cantu specializes in the use of advanced cardiac imaging in order to evaluate and improve cardiovascular outcomes in cancer patients and in patients with complex heart disease. She has a particular focus in the care of women cancer survivors and women with heart disease.

Education

Dr. Cantu received her Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She then completed her fellowship in cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where she also served as chief fellow, and completed additional training in advanced cardiac imaging including cardiac CT and cardiac MRI at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
