Biography

Marla Daves, MD, MSHI, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in pediatric hematology and oncology, Dr. Daves practices at the Aflac Cancer Center treating children with leukemia and lymphoma. She is also a board certified clinical informaticist and is working on ways to best present clinical decision support interventions that are acceptable to clinicians and fit into the normal workflow.

Dr. Daves is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. She also holds memberships with American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Children's Oncology Group and American Medical Informatics Association.

Research

Dr. Daves research interests are in applying informatic tools to improve guideline adherence in pediatrics and the development of clinical research databases to improve the secondary use of clinical data for research.
