Biography
Faramarz Edalat, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. A board-certified interventional radiologist, Dr. Edalat is an expert in a wide range of vascular and interventional minimally invasive therapies. In oncology, he specializes in liver, kidney, lung, and bone tumor ablation, chemoembolization and radioembolization of liver tumors. He practices at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Edalata is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He holds professional memberships with Society of Interventional Radiology and Society of Vascular Medicine.
Education
Dr. Edalat received his MD from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in biomedical engineering at Harvard University and MIT, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Emory University and a interventional radiology fellowship at Brown University.
Publications
Dr. Edalat has published in numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals and serves on the Society of Interventional Radiology committee.
