In 2002, Scott Edelman, MD, joined the faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine as assistant professor of radiation oncology. Dr. Edelman is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. As a physician, he specializes in the treatment of head and neck malignancies at Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Dr. Edleman is a clinical member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics research program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He is also a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology.
Dr. Edelman received his MD from Albany Medical College in New York. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, and a residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Edelman has been recognized with the CV Mosby Award in the Scientific Basis of Human Behavior from Albany Medical College, and has earned speaking invitations for his work in radiation oncology and medical science.
Dr. Edelman has published research articles on cancers of the head and neck, anal cancer and endometrial cancer.
