Biography

Carla L. Ellis, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in clinical and anatomic pathology, Dr. Ellis specializes in urologic pathology (genitourinary) and non-neoplastic renal pathology.

Dr. Ellis is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. She also holds memberships in the American Society of Nephrology, the Renal Pathology Society, the International Society of Urologic Pathologists and the College of American Pathologists among others.

Education

Dr. Ellis received a MS in Anatomic Pathology from University of Maryland and her medical degree from University of Nevada School of Medicine.

Publications

Dr. Ellis has published peer-reviewed articles on prostate cancer outcomes, immunohistochemistry of urinary bladder neoplasms, molecular rearrangements in pediatric renal tumors and outcomes in various glomerular diseases.
