Biography
Yue Feng, MD, PhD, is Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Feng is a member of the Cell and Molecular Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Feng received her PhD from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her postdoctoral training as a Fellow and Research Associate at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Research
Dr. Feng's research area is in posttranscriptional regulation in normal brain function, development and brain diseases. Her laboratory is interested in how RNA-binding proteins and microRNAs govern the normal brain development and function, and how posttranscriptional dysregulation at the steps of mRNA biogenesis and translation leads to malfunction of neurons and glia, which underlies many mental and neurological diseases.
