Biography

Sandra Gjorgova Gjeorgjievski, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified pathologist, Dr. Gjorgova Gjeorgjievski's clinical responsibilities include bone and soft tissue pathology with an emphasis in sarcoma.

Dr. Gjorgova Gjeorgjievski is a member of the Cell and Molecular Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. She holds professional memberships with College of American Pathologists, United states and Canadian Academy of Pathology, The American Society of Dermatopathology and Georgia Association of Pathology.

Education

Dr. Gjorgova Gjeorgjievski received her Medical Degree from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University Medical School in Skopje, Macedonia. She completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at Mayo Clinic, School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota, and a fellowship in bone and soft tissue pathology at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Research

Dr. Gjorgova Gjeorgjievski has research interest in bone and soft tissue sarcomas, and the correlation of the histopathologic and morphologic features with the molecular and immunohistochemical characteristics of the neoplasms.
