Biography
Yue Guan, MB, PhD, ScM, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences at Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University. Dr. Guan is a board-certified genetic counselor and health communication scientist.
Dr. Guan is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Guan received her MB from Peking University in China. She holds a PhD in Philosophy and a Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Research
Dr. Guan's work has focused on translational research aimed at: developing effective communications of genetic information across the spectrum of interpersonal communication to mass media, and disseminating genetic screening applications outside genetic clinical settings in the domain of common diseases.
