Biography
Mohammad Hajiha, MD, FRCSC, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Hajiha serves as Chief of Urology at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A board certified urologist, Dr. Hajiha's clinical specialties include endourological surgery as well as robotic, laparoscopic, and open procedures for prostate, kidney, adrenal, and bladder malignancies. His primary practice locations are Emory Johns Creek Hospital and the Atlanta VA Healthcare System.
Prior to joining the Emory Department of Urology in 2022, Dr. Hajiha held positions at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Riverside University Health System.
Education
Dr. Hajiha completed his undergraduate, medical school, and urology residency at the University of Toronto, Canada, after which he was granted membership as a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He then engaged in a two year fellowship in endourology, laparoscopy, robotic, and minimally invasive urological surgery at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.
Research
Among Dr. Hajiha's research interests are improvement of the peri-operative factors that influence patient outcomes following urologic oncology procedures, and radiation safety in medicine.
