Biography

Dolores Hambardzumyan, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to arriving at Emory, Dr. Hambardzumyan was Assistant Professor Moleular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Dr. Hambardzumyan is a member of the Cancer Cell Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. She is also a member of the Cancer Biology Program at Emory Laney Graduate School.

Education

Dr. Hambardzumyan received her PhD in Neuroscience from H. Buniatian Institute of Biochemistry in Armenia. She also obtained a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Yerevan State University in Armenia.

Research

Dr. Hambardzumyan's focus of research is to investigate the role of the brain microenvironment in how it contributes to pediatric and adult glioblastoma growth and response to therapy.
