Biography

Anna I. Holbrook, MD, is associate professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Holbrook is a board certified radiologist specializing in breast imaging. She interprets mammograms, ultrasound and MRI examinations, and performs ultrasound-, stereotactic-, and MRI-guided breast biopsies and localizations.

Dr. Holbrook serves as Co-Chair of the Service Excellence Committee and is a graduate of the Emory Healthcare Quality Academy. She is involved in teaching at both the local and national level. Dr. Holbrook helped to create a new radiology-pathology correlation conference for Emory residents, and serves as an instructor in the workshop "US-guided Interventional Breast Procedures" at the annual Radiological Society of North America meeting.

Dr. Holbrook is a Fellow in the Society of Breast Imaging.

Education

Dr. Holbrook obtained her MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed an internship at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, residencies in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mayo Clinic and the University of Chicago, and a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Duke University.

Research

Dr. Holbrook's research projects are related to breast pain, lobular neoplasia and tomosynthesis.

Dr. Holbrook has published several manuscripts and book chapters.
