Biography

Cheng Huang, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Health and the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health of George Washington University.

Education

Dr. Huang graduated from Beijing University in Beijing, China. He received his PhD in Demography from University of Pennsylvania and completed postdoctoral training in nutrition and chronic disease at Emory University. Prior to joining GWU, Dr. Huang served as a faculty member at Emory University. 

Research

Dr. Huang's research interest is in international migration and health inequalities in the US, developmental origins of chronic disease, famine studies, ambient air pollution and population health, and global tobacco control.
