Peng Jin, PhD, serves as professor and chair in the Department of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Jin is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is a member of the Cell and Molecular Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Peng Jin received his doctorate degree in Molecular and Developmental Biology from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital/University of Cincinnati and completed postdoctoral training at Emory University.

Dr. Jin's research philosophy combines various disciplines (biochemistry, genetics, chemistry, human genetics/genomics, and bioinformatics) to understand the functions and mechanisms of epigenetics and noncoding RNAs in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
Dr. Jin is the recipient of Beckman Young Investigator Award, Basil O'Connor Scholar Research Award, Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in Neuroscience, and NARSAD Independent Investigator Award.
