Veronica C. Jones, MD, joined Emory Healthcare in 2014 and is board certified in surgery. She is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons and holds memberships in the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Jones has clinical interests in benign breast disease, breast cancer, and high risk patients.
Dr. Jones attended the Meharry Medical School in Nashville. She completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center and breast surgical oncology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Jones was named Chief Resident of the Year in 2013 and was awarded "Best Surgical Oncology Paper" from the North Texas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons in 2012. Dr. Jones is also an alumni member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Jones' research interests include disparities in breast cancer outcomes, access to care, rehabilitative needs in the breast cancer survivorship population, and new technologies in breast cancer care.
