Biography
Sandeep Kumar, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Walter H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University.
Dr. Kumar is a member of the Cell and Molecular Biology Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Kumar received his MS in biotechnology at Kurukshetra University in India. He earned his PhD in the same subject at University of Pune. Dr. Kumar performed two post doctorates, first at Texas A&M in molecular cardiology, then later at Emory University in biomedical engineering and cardiology.
Research
Dr. Kumar's research is focused on studying the role of microRNAs and long non-coding RNAs in endothelial biology and atherosclerosis.
