Biography
Susan K. Kunihiro, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in palliative care and family medicine, Dr. Kunihiro enjoys serving the diverse patients in the Winship community by improving quality of life for patients with cancer, no matter the stage of illness- from initial diagnosis, during treatment, in remission or closer to end of life. She practices in the Emory Clinic as well as inpatient at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.
Dr. Kunihiro is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Education
Dr. Kunihiro received her Medical Degree from University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. She completed internship and residency in Family Medicine at University of Colorado Swedish Family Medicine Residency in Littleton, Colorado. She completed Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
