Melinda Moore Lewis, MD

Dr. Lewis earned her MD with Magna Cum Laude honors from Emory University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in pathology and laboratory medicine at Emory University affiliated hospitals. She conducted her cytopathology fellowship in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Dr. Lewis' research interests are centered on women's health issues, particularly in breast cancer. Her research focus is the application of advanced technology, including flow cytometry, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), PCR, and mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF) to enhance the diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive power of cytologic specimens.
