Biography
Rupeng Li, MD, PhD, is assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified pain management physician, Dr. Li works with care teams at Winship Cancer Institute to treat chronic pain symptoms in patients with cancer.
Dr. Li is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. He holds professional memberships with American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association.
Education
Dr. Li received his MD and MS from China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan. He earned his PhD in Biophysics from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his fellowship in pain medicine and his anesthesiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Research
Dr. Li's research is focused on the central nervous system response and neuroplasticity in patients with acute and chronic pain.
