Xiao-Jing Li, MD, PhD, MS, is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Li is a member of the Cancer Cell Biology Research Program at Winship.
Dr. Li earned his MD from Jiangxi Medical College in China. After obtaining his MD, Dr. Li additionally earned an MS in Pharmacology from Suzhou Medical College in China and a PhD in Pharmacology from Vollum Institute at The Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Li also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University.
The main interest of the Dr. Li's research is to understand the molecular mechanisms of inherited neurodegeneration caused by a CAG repeat expansion in the disease genes.
