Biography

James V. Little, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Little provides surgical pathology and cytopathology services at Emory University Hospital Midtown with an emphasis on bone and soft tissue pathology, breast pathology, and gynecologic oncology.

Education

Dr. Little earned his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed residency programs in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of New Mexico Hospitals in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Research

Dr. Little's research interest is in quality assurance metrics. He has collaborated with the CDC and the University of Pittsburgh in a cooperative agreement to assess efficacy, economic impact and patient care outcomes of frequently employed metrics in quality assurance in anatomic and clinical laboratories.
