Biography
C. Adam Lorentz, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified urologist, Dr. Lorentz's clinical interests include urologic cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stone disease, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Lorentz serves as Director of Emory Clinic Urology at Emory University Hospital Midtown where he is working to expand patient access to urologic care in Atlanta and surrounding communities.
Education
Dr. Lorentz graduated medical school at Emory University School of Medicine, where he participated in local and international volunteer service, including work with the Emory Haiti Alliance. He went on to complete his general suregery internship and urology residency training also at Emory.

Dr. Lorentz has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and abstracts both nationally and internationally.

Awards
Dr. Lorentz has been recognized for excellence in both academics and patient care. During his training he was awarded the William Hollis Cooner Award for exemplary compassion and patient care as well as the Montague Boyd research award from the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Lorentz serves as peer reviewer for several major academic journals in his field. He was recognized as a top reviewer in 2019 by Cancer, the official journal of the American Cancer society.
