Biography
Meredith Maxwell, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine of the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Board certified in family medicine and in hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Maxwell collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team at Winship to help patients address symptoms and improve their quality of life during their journey with cancer.
Dr. Maxwell serves as Assistant Program Director fo the Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Program in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Maxwell is a member of American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Education
Dr. Maxwell received her Medical Degree from Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership in Athens, Georgia. She completed her residency training at Tallahassee Memorial Family Medicine Residency. She completed Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
