Biography
Abesh Niroula, MBBS, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. An interventional pulmonologist, Dr. Niroula's clinical interests include diagnosis, staging and management of lung cancer, diagnosis and management of pleural effusion, lung nodule and all airway diseases. He joined the interventional pulmonology clinical team at Emory in 2020.
Dr. Niroula is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. He holds professional memberships with American Thoracic Society, American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and American College of Physicians.
Education
Dr. Niroula graduated from medical school at Kathmandu University, Nepal. He completed his internal medicine residency program at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania where he was chief resident in his final year. He completed his pulmonary, critical care fellowship training at Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and an additional year of interventional pulmonary fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
