Ephraim Edward Parent, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Services at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Parent is a dual boarded radiologist and nuclear medicine physician whose research has focused on novel PET radiotracer development.

Dr. Parent is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics research program at Winship Cancer Institute.


Dr. Parent earned his MD from University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois and his PhD from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois.


Dr. Parent's synthetic interests include androgen receptor PET ligands, estrogen receptor radiotherapeutics for breast cancer and amino acid suicide inhibitors for treatment of brain gliomas. Clinical research projects include imaging neuroendocrine prostate cancer transformation with Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and F-Axumin PET evaluation of gliomas. He also serves as a team leader for Molecular Imaging, Biomarker & Probe Development.
