Ashish B. Patel, MD, MBA, is Acting Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel serves as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Hillandale Hospital. Board certified in radiation oncology, he specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers, and in brachytherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. Prior to joining Emory, he was Clinical Director of Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, Cooper University Healthcare.
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his residency in radiation oncology at University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was Chief Resident in his final year of residency training. He received his MBA from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
