Biography

Maria Piraner, MD, is associate professor, and Medical Director/Quality Officer of the Community Radiology Division, in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. A board certified radiologist, Dr. Piraner specializes in breast imaging, women's imaging and sonography. She serves as the director of the Center for Breast Care at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in which she played a vital role in designing.

Education

Dr. Piraner received her Medical Degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia where she also completed her internship. She completed her Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Medical Center in New York, New York. She completed her Fellowship in Women's Imaging at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
