Biography
Beatrice T. B. Preti, MD, MMEd, is assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. A medical oncologist, Dr. Preti's clinical area of expertise is in gastrointestinal cancers. She sees patients at Winship Cancer Institute on the Clifton campus and Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Preti is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She holds professional memberships with American Society of Clinical Oncology, Canadian Association for Medical Education and Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists.
Education
Dr. Preti received her MD from DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She earned her Masters in Medical Education at University of Dundee in the United Kingdom. Her postgraduate medical education included residency training at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, and a fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University in London, Ontario.
Research
Dr. Preti's research focusses on medical education — specifically, the learner experience and learning environment — as well as the patient experience, with an emphasis on patient-relevant outcomes and real-world analyses.
